The first noticeable improvement is the graphics. However, there are many new features in Heroes II that show strong improvement over the original. Each turn you move your hero to explore new areas, build buildings in your castle which allow you to call new creatures to your cause or expand your library of spells. As in Heroes of Might and Magic, the sequel is a turn-based strategy game set in the fantasy universe of the Might and Magic role playing game series. When New World Computing designed the sequel to their best selling strategy game, they produced something we rarely see, a sequel better than the original. The mod also greatly improves the controls and interface, both in terms of controls and the data we have access to. The project also introduces many new features, such as automatic battles, useful when you don’t want to waste time on skirmishes where you have too much advantage to lose.
Fheroes2 also offers greatly improved AI and removes several hundred technical bugs and a lot of bugs left in the game by the original developers.
